The industry continues to enjoy an impressive growth rate that has hovered between 15–20% for most of the last decade. The industry’s humble start was 30 years ago, as it arose to serve the Muslim population, which today stands at about 1.4 billion Muslims. The industry growth could be exponential if each country of the 57 Islamic countries established a true Islamic system under its central bank.TOPICS: ESG investing, emerging, exchanges/markets/clearinghouses
