These markets are often characterized by strong economic growth (driven by an expanding middle class, high rural-to-urban migration, and significant infrastructure investment), robust private sector development, improvements to institutional infrastructure, and more effective corporate governance. These components have contributed to the development of flourishing capital markets in these economies. One such market is Poland. The article focuses on the evolution of public equities markets in Poland and discusses its characteristics over the long term and in comparison to other emerging markets.
